My Client is a multi-national company that is currently experiencing sustained growth across all its key business units including Property Development, Civil Works, Plant Hire, Construction Materials as well as under Ground Mining & Tunnelling.
They are currently operating several Hard Rock Quarries and are looking for skilled supervisors to join their rapidly growing teams. Your new role
In this role you will play a big part in ensuring the Quarry is run smoothly, including operational planning and objectives to ensure that site requirements are met. As a Quarry Supervisor you will report directly to the Quarry Manager (or otherwise directed) and be responsible for the daily operations. Your primary objection is to provide safe and efficient supervision of operation and sales at one of their quarries. You’ll need a focus on safety and a heavy interest in the day-to-day supervision and logistics of this hard rock quarry.
Your day-to-day duties will include but not limited to the following.
Assist the Quarry Manager in upholding compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards across site.
Implementing effective planned maintenance schedules for plant & equipment.
Help to Identify any improvements that can reduce costs whilst still maintaining required environmental & safety standards.
Maintain the Quarry’s quality system, insuring compliance with, and communication of all health, safety, and environment requirements.
Responsible for Safety Performance of employees and subcontractors in conjunction with Legislative Requirements and the Mine Safety Management Plan.
What you'll need to succeed
To be a successful applicant you need to meet the following criteria:
• Ability to carry out work as instructed by Area Manager
• Excellent communication and organisation skills
• Current driver’s license. Preferably HC
• VIC Production Managers Ticket
• VIC Blasting Ticket
• Strong Management & Leadership Skills
• Knowledge & Experience in Continuous Improvement strategies.
• Knowledge & Experience with Fixed & Mobile Crushing Plants
• Knowledge & Experience with Earthmoving / Quarry Machinery
• Knowledge & Experience with Estimating, Sales and Marketing
• Knowledge & Experience managing production costs versus budget
• Knowledge & Experience of WHS Mines Regulation
• Knowledge & Experience of Mine Legislation
• Good communication skills.
• Current drivers’ licence.
• Various plant experience including front end loader and excavator.
• Enthusiastic team member.
• Adaptability
• Use of initiative, proactive and organised approach to work.
