Your new role

Our client is seeking a residential rock tool technician to join their team in Orange, NSW. A rock tools technician works between the workshop and the underground Monday to Friday on 12hr shifts. Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to;

• Perform the daily delivery services of product to each drill site
• Remove all worn and damaged rock tools from the drill sites
• In field monitoring and reporting
• Analyse the conditions and/or failures and discuss with the operators
• Rock Tools Inventory Management - Forecasting, Tracking and Monitoring
• Performing the sorting, gauging, cutting back, grinding and colour coding of used drill bits
• Perform the refurbishment of blocked and bent drill rods

This is an entry level opportunity for candidates looking to get a foot in the mining industry. Please note that it is a physically demanding role, and you are required to have previous experience within a hands on role.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful for this role, you must be residing in Orange, NSW. You will require a manual driver's license and previous experience in a physically demanding role or labour hire. Underground experience would be preferred but not essential.
