Top-Tier International Firm seeking a Senior M&A Lawyer

Seeking an experienced Corporate Lawyer to join their Sydney office in their Mergers and Acquisitions practice. The team works with clients across a variety of sectors, and across the full remit of private and public M&A.

Your new role

The role involves working alongside Partners undertaking a broad mix of M&A for a range of private and public clients. The work undertaken would mostly be in a variety of sectors including Mining, Energy, Financial Buyers, Infrastructure. The successful candidate will work directly with Partners, and with clients on transactions. They will also be supported by a team of junior lawyers.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Admitted to practice in NSW with a current Legal Practising Certificate
  • Ideally 4-10 years PAE in corporate law, specialising in M&A transactions
  • Experience in a top-tier or mid-tier firm, or a specialist corporate/M&A firm.
  • Strong technical and drafting skills across a range of corporate transactions and investments, including Mergers and acquisitions; Private equity; Joint ventures; Shareholder Agreements; Share Sale Agreements; Asset Sale Agreements; Due Diligence Reports; and Corporations Act advice.
  • In-depth knowledge of the relevant legislation
  • Strong client management skills, and someone who has a stellar work ethic
  • Excellent critical and analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience of guiding and mentoring junior lawyers.
