Senior Linux Engineer

Manage and support Linux servers, ensuring secure and stable infrastructure for high-quality services.


Your new company

The Senior Linux Engineer is responsible for managing and supporting Linux servers, backup infrastructure, and security logging systems. This role ensures the server environment is secure, stable, and effectively administered.

The engineer collaborates with stakeholders and vendors to deliver high-quality services that meet client requirements, maintaining operational stability across existing environments.

Your new role

  • Managing approximately 600 Linux instances (Ubuntu and RHEL, with a trend away from RHEL).
  • Supporting base services like virtualisation (VMware), storage (Pure Storage), backup (Cohesity), and search (Splunk).
  • Maintaining core services such as DNS (BIND), NTP, SMTP (Postfix), web proxying (Squid and Forcepoint/Websense), and RSA SecurID.

What you'll need to succeed

  • The candidate must be an Australian citizen and possess at least an NV1 clearance or be eligible to obtain one.
  • The candidate must be located in ACT or NSW.
