Your new company

A government organisation in Perth CBD, are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Consultant to join the team as soon as possible. This role is being offered on an initial 6-month temporary contract, with a possible extension on offer should all go well. You will be required to work full-time hours and will be paid at a competitive hourly rate.

Your new role

As the Senior Procurement Consultant, you will be responsible for:

• Developing and managing contracts with significant to high risk
• Provide professional procurement advice and guidance to clients around the development, management and governance of contractual matters
• Ensure that all contracts in places align with contract management frameworks
• Undertake investigation, collation, analysis and evaluation of complex contractual issues, recommending action plans and resolving disputes as needed
• Prepare and issue tender documents, RFQ's and purchase orders in accordance with AS4000

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• Proven experience in procurement within the WA Government or construction industry.
• Familiarity with AS4000 contract conditions and their practical application in construction projects.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Proficient in procurement and project management software.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and contract documents.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in procurement, construction management, engineering, or a related field.
