Your new role

You will be assisting the governance team who are looking for the support of a Senior Procurement & Contracting Adviser. As an experienced procurement professional, you will have a demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, and you will work efficiently and effectively to deliver a high quality and compliant procurement function, including the provision of expert advice to support business units in their procurement activities.

• Coordinate and support the procurement team to administer procurement functions, ensuring delivery of efficient and compliant procurement activities
• Maintain relationships with local business communities
• Support the development and implementation of new processes and systems that enhance effective and compliant procurement practices
• Ensure procurement processes, decisions and arrangements are fully documented for audit and probity purposes
• Actively implement improved methods of procurement to improve efficiency and value for money outcomes
• Prepare reports for management and council as required

What you'll need to succeed

• Tertiary qualifications in Procurement and Contracting (or similar)

• Ability to interpret legislation and identify, report, and address procurement risks

• Ability to effectively identify, report, and address procurement risks

• Effective time management

**Candidates MUST be based in Western Australia
