APS 6 Senior Project Officer - Labour-Hire Contract

We are partnering with a leading Federal Government Agency on a project that is at the forefront of change for the Australian public. You will be a part of a team that is working on projects enabling Australians in remote and very remote areas to vote in the upcoming election.


Your new role

As the senior project officer in the team, you will be the internal team lead, having to determine recommendations to your EL1 as well as guide junior staff and motivate them through a pressure environment. Working on the implementation of projects including planning, training, instruction and SOP policies.


What you'll need to succeed

A successful candidate is required to have the ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Government Security Clearance (Baseline, NV1, NV2 TSPV). Key duties and abilities for the role include but aren’t limited to:
  • Contribute to the design and identification of project components and timelines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with high attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Undertake project activities and ensure that project tasks are delivered on time and meet the needs of the end user.
  • Contribute to the preparation of briefs and prepare other content for consideration by more senior staff.
  • Excellent organisational skills and a demonstrated ability to undertake tasks methodically and accurately.
  • Experience leading teams, providing guidance to staff and oversight of issues to management.
