Working as part of the Campus Infrastructure team under the broad direction of the Head of Facilities Management you will lead the Technical Facilities Management team responsible for HVAC/ Electrical / Fire and Hydraulics. You will guide this team, oversee developmental work and actively seek opportunities for improvements.
You will be responsible for:
- Team guidance and support, ensuring effective planning, scheduling, and delivery of both hard and soft maintenance services
- Overseeing all maintenance and corrective works programs, ensuring minimised disruptions to stakeholders
- Driving financial planning and management of facilities, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and operational improvements.
- Leading the refinement and development of stakeholder engagement methodologies, ensuring robust feedback mechanisms are in place and driving initiatives to enhance service delivery
- Managing the strategic direction for work area reporting and ensuring the highest standards of legislative compliance
- Mentoring and supporting the management team, promoting continuous professional development and operational efficiency
- Manage the performance and development of staff, including performance review, professional development and career management
- Lead initiatives for risk management and workplace health and safety, setting the standard for safety and compliance, and ensuring readiness for any audits or reviews.
You will have a degree or trade background in Mechanical, Electrical or similar and 10 plus years in technical facilities/maintenance positions. You will have excellent stakeholder engagement skills and first-class communication and presentation.
You will have extensive and adaptable leadership and direction to diverse teams, including people management, managing staff performance and development.
You will have experience working on large and live portfolios and managing at a senior level. You will possess proven initiative, be flexible and engage with astute analytical and problem-solving skills. You will also be proficient in MS Office, Excel and relevant FM computer applications.
