Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all workshop activities, focusing on production, job profitability, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Lead by example, performing fabrication tasks alongside your team.
- Coordinate multiple projects, ensuring they meet timelines, budgets, and quality expectations.
- Plan and schedule workshop activities to maximise the use of resources.
- Report project progress and address any delays or concerns promptly.
- Train and support workshop personnel, fostering a skilled and motivated team.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to minimise wastage.
- Ensure all equipment and machinery are properly maintained and operated.
- Uphold the quality of all fabrication work, adhering to customer specifications and relevant standards.
- Implement cost-effective improvements to manufacturing processes.
- Manage inward goods and ensure accurate job allocations through time-sheet approvals.
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current Driving Licence and OHS Card (White Card).
- Relevant trade qualification.
- Welding Supervisor AS2214 certification (desirable).
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings.
- Understanding of relevant codes and standards.
- Strong adaptability, attention to detail, and communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service focus and problem-solving abilities.
- Team-oriented with excellent time management and organisational skills.
