Hays Technology has partnered with our key enterprise client in Brisbane to appoint a Solution Architecture Practice Lead to a contract role on an initial 13 months with the possibility of extension. This role will be critical in redesigning and standardising the Solution Architecture practice.

Your new role

This role is responsible for leading a team of solution architects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solution architectures, and reviewing and transforming the architecture practice to enhance agility, collaboration, and business value in alignment with the organisation.

• Architecture Practice Review & Transformation Plan
• Implementation Architectures
• High-Level Design Documents
• Options Analysis and Recommendations
• Procurement-Related Specifications and Evaluations
• Design Reviews and Validation
• Migration Implementation Approaches

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have strong leadership skills and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across the organisation. You'll have the ability to influence and gain trust with a strong, well-established team. You will be experienced in solution architecture across multiple ICT domains in a large, complex organisation.

• Proven leadership experience, managing and mentoring solution architects or technical teams.
• Strong strategic thinking and business alignment capability, ensuring technology investments align with the organisation's strategy.
• Deep expertise in modern architecture governance, assurance, and best practices.
• Experience in ICT procurement, vendor engagement, and evaluation of technology investments.
