Staff Software Engineer - ServiceNow

Hays has partnered with a leading financial services company who are looking for a Staff Engineer in ServiceNow to join their growing development team.

Your new role
You will be part of a high-performing squad of ServiceNow DevOps Engineers responsible for building and maintaining an enterprise-scale ServiceNow Platform serving multiple capabilities, including ITSM/ITOM, IRM, SecOps, and Employee workflow modules.

What you’ll need to succeed
  • Knowledge and experience in ServiceNow modules with a specialisation in ITSM and ITOM and Integrations.
  • Hands-on experience of architecting, designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-scale ServiceNow implementations.
  • Ability to translate requirements into technical designs, aligning with ServiceNow platform capabilities and best practices.
  • Confidence in establishing controls for the technical team to align on standard processes and drive towards successful product releases.
  • Experience of implementing CSDM and knowledge of Configuration management practices.
  • Knowledge of solution architecture, scalability, performance, and security aspects of the ServiceNow Platform.
  • The ability to analyse a wide range of technical data within systems and processes, including identifying improvements and mitigating risks with design or solution proposals.
  • Experience liaising with stakeholders, advising, and influencing on tech strategy and design related to the ServiceNow platform.
  • Hands-on experience in ITIL framework, DevSecOps, and SRE principles.
  • Ability to mentor and develop engineers, advocating for best practices.
Tech skills
  • ServiceNow ITSM/ITOM and integration implementations
  • Core Platform micro-certifications: Mobile, Performance Analytics, UI Builder, ATF, Integration Hub, Virtual Agent, NLU, Flow Designer, Service Portal, CSDM
  • Certified Technical Architect
  • SDLC, CI/CD pipeline, automation, testing, scripting, networking, and related technologies
  • ITIL Framework
  • Cloud Environments: AWS, Azure, Linux
  • Web Technology: XML, JavaScript, HTML, Web Services - REST/SOAP, AngularJS
  • ServiceNow Certifications such as Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Application Developer (CAD), ITSM Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS), and CSM Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS)
