Your new role
Exciting part-time opportunity for a Strategic Space Planner to act as a liaison to business departments to develop space plans to meet their accommodation and space needs over the short, medium, and long term.
Working with an intimate team, you’ll contribute to the delivery of high-level briefs and designs, space reviews, asset and space analysis, modelling and strategic space planning services to other SBUs. Planning and scoping for infrastructure projects relating to space allocation, function and utilisation targets following best practices and benchmarks.
A role which engages all business units, you will have an excellent ability to communicate with stakeholders, providing advice, guidance and managing expectations with strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.

This role is a part-time – 3-day temporary assignment – through Hays. Based in the office in Newcastle Suburb.

What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated high level strategic accommodation and space planning experience within a large and complex organisation – Required
- Experience with workplace pre-design briefs for space planning activities
- Experience using a workplace management system; Archibus or Serraview - Ideal
- Demonstrated experience in asset management, space analysis and planning, move management, space optimisation and reconfiguration requirements.
- Experience providing high-level, accurate and astute advice and reports to senior management
- Excellent Communication both verbal and written
- Demonstrated ability to engage with all levels of business
