This is a 12-month contract role with a daily rate of $1078 + Super. The working days are 7 hours.


Your new company

A forward-thinking Local Government Authority is undergoing a transformative journey to reshape their Customer Experience (CX) and digital capabilities. This large-scale Digital Transformation initiative is focused on creating seamless, customer-centric digital solutions that improve how the community engages with services while enhancing internal operational efficiency. The Digital Transformation team is leading the design and delivery of innovative solutions, including a Future State Technology Architecture (FSTA) and a Future State Data Architecture (FSDA). These initiatives aim to establish the foundation for a Digital Front Door and Digital Back Door, enabling integrated, scalable, and impactful digital services for the future.


Your new role

As Technical Lead, you will provide technical leadership for this Local Government Authority’s Digital Transformation program. You will play a pivotal role in guiding the design and implementation of the Future State Technology Architecture, working closely with key stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable, and future-proof solutions. The Digital Front Door and Digital Back Door are central to the transformation vision. The Digital Front Door will serve as a customer-facing platform that simplifies access to services, enhances engagement, and facilitates seamless transactions. The Digital Back Door will streamline staff workflows, integrate systems, and enable efficient service delivery. Together, they will deliver a unified, end-to-end digital experience for customers and staff.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Extensive experience as a technical leader in large-scale digital transformation programs
  • Strong expertise in designing and delivering scalable architectures for digital platforms, including cloud-based and hybrid solutions
  • Proficiency in system integration, enterprise architecture frameworks, and modern development methodologies such as Agile
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for diverse audiences
  • Deep understanding of ICT systems and technology stacks, with a proven ability to design and deliver integrated solutions
  • A commitment to fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a technical discipline or equivalent experience in a large-scale transformation environment
