Your new role

As the Technology Service Desk Officer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to employees, clients and stakeholders across Pilbara Ports. Your support offering will include the management of user accounts, email accounts, distribution lists and network permissions. Through the Technology Service Desk, you will support Microsoft systems, office applications, networks, video conferencing, mobile devices and hardware/software deployments. You will also assist with coordinating and delivering IT inductions and training sessions.

You will collaborate to promote a safe and inclusive workplace that supports the mental health and wellbeing of all team members. This involves fostering an environment where everyone feels valued and supported.


What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you will understand IT asset manufacturers and products, including Microsoft technologies, Apple devices, and Dell hardware. You will possess strong verbal and written communication skills with experience providing Service Desk support across geographically dispersed offices and teams. You will have the ability to work autonomously, use initiative and prioritise multiple tasks. You will exhibit highly developed customer service skills with experience in a client-centric service provider environment. You will demonstrate an understanding of the importance of accuracy in tracking and maintaining inventory levels for just-in-time efficiency.

You will also have sound computing skills and the ability to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card.
