Vulnerability Management Platform Engineer

Your new company

Client's Cyber team is seeking experienced cybersecurity professionals to lead the development and maturation of our Cyber Vulnerability Management capability. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing processes and supporting technologies to enhance our ability to discover, assess, report, act on, and evaluate cyber vulnerabilities.


Your new role

  • Develop and document processes to mature Vulnerability Management.
  • Align processes with relevant policies.
  • Discover, assess, report, act on, and evaluate cyber vulnerabilities.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on vulnerability status.
  • Analyse findings and prioritise remediation actions.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement security measures.
  • Manage the design, installation, and operation of ICT systems for vulnerability management.
  • Provide technical support for project build, test, and deployment activities.
  • Configure and manage non-functional platform capabilities.
  • Liaise with the infrastructure team for hardware and asset deployment.
  • Manage patch maintenance, backup, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Develop staff capability through coaching and mentoring.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation and reports.

Primary Technologies
  • Rapid7, Tenable, Sentinel, Windows Defender, Forescout, and other vulnerability scanning tools.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Experience in vulnerability management platform deployment/management/design for ICT projects within the Federal Government.
  • Proven experience in developing processes and technologies for cyber vulnerability management.
  • Experience with various vulnerability management platforms in large-scale ICT projects for the Federal Government.
  • Ability to align processes with relevant policies.
  • Experience in preparing detailed reports and presentations on vulnerability status.
  • Ability to analyze findings and prioritize remediation actions.
  • Collaboration with IT and development teams to implement security measures.
  • Candidates must be based in ACT, QLD, SA, or VIC and work from their respective offices, or be willing to relocate if successful.
  • Candidate must be an Australian citizen and hold a NV1 security clearance.
